So I ordered a EE 15 degree down quilt the other day. That will cover all my Archery hunts out west.

I am thinking about ordering a 20 degree Kifaru slick bag. That will be for New Zealand, Alaska,BC when i make it to those places.

I think with these two or even a combination of these two I will basically be covered for anything. What you guys think?

Sounds like a solid plan to me. I tried the quilt thing and didn't care for it. Bought a 0* Slick bag and it's become my one and done bag/quilt set up. Works for everything I do.

I don’t like the weight and pack ability of the 0 degree slick bag. I figure if it’s Gonna be real cold I can throw my 20 degree slick bag in with my quilt and still be the same weight as the zero degree

I did a similar thing for a while. Used a 20* Slick and carried my Woobie as an extra insulation layer if temps dropped. Figured out I could save weight and space by just using the 0* and haven’t regretted the decision.

Nunatak makes a quilt called a 'Nebula' which has down on the inside and a synthetic insulation outer shell.

They also make a synthetic quilt that can attach to the outside of their down Arc UL quilts as well, called the Gamut.

I don't own either, but have been looking at a premium topquilt. Nunatak has some of the best reviews out there!
