Looking To Get A Quilt - El Coyote??

I owned an El Coyote quilt. It was very well made, really lightweight, and super compressible. The quilts are a really basic design that is made from premium materials. I replaced it with a Katabatic recently. If I were buying a quilt today, I'd go with the longest and widest Katabatic Flex 15.
How tall are you?

El Coyote is, I believe.
Made and sewn in Gilbert (Phoenix), AZ

I’ve had one 4-5 years. Does me fine. I’ve not had the bottom closure ever open up on mine. If it’s cold enough I’ll stuff a sock or something in the hole and pull the cord tight. Seals it up fine.

Correct, Katabatic is not, Enlightened Equipment is not, Hyperlite Mountain Gear is not,

I think Warbonnet still is, Western Mountaineering, Feathered Friends, El Coyote, UGQ, Z Packs, Hammock Gear, Loco Libre, probably some others.

I know some folks like bying USA made products, and I think that with a cottage type business, like Katabatic, people assume they aren't importaed from Asia.

One final question, for those of you that have a 15-22 degree bag, Is it way too hot for 40 degree nights? What about 45 degree? Do you just open it out and stick you leg out and its fine? Or is it wildly uncomfortable?

I have a 20 degree El Coyote and I've used it from 10-60 degrees. I have found it to be tolerable into the upper 40's. I also have 40 degree synthetic quilt which I have both froze and been fine in 50-55 degree weather with so your mileage may vary.
