DIY Cylinder Stove Advice?

I can't find the SS stock on Tigoat. What gauge SS stock do we use? Grainger has some high temp SS foil. Will this work.

If you look under the "Make Your Own Gear" header, you'll find the material. They don't have any SS stock, but they have titanium for a reasonable price. They are using .005" thick stock, but the link I originally posted says .004" is sufficient.

SS is .004
For a 12" stove its a foil of 12"x30'' long for the body,i only cut 6 inches from the foil.They sell them per the foot(12").

This stove will be for a DIY pyramid tipi.Its my third diy stove.

this one yes,is 12'' long per 8''1/2 large,pipe is 6 feet and 3''1/2 cir.Perfect for a small shelter even a 4 man tipi, i have a seekoutside 4 man and BT2,rhino paratarp and tried many stoves.

Leaning on a SO Cimarron. I have a 10x10 tarp I've been using to camp around the house. I've set it up several times as a tipi and was thinking about placing jack in it!. I've also thought about using the rain fly from a Marmot 2p tent. I just have to see what the weight would shake out. I've just been trying to nail down the stove.

A 12" stove is perfect or a 18" but its long and take place but you can burn bigger logs/wood.The 18 was a problem in my backpack because the body for storage still 18" long so it was hard finding a good place for it in the bag.I sold it.

Never had a jimmy but looking at the specs IMO a 12"cylinder is perfect or a medium box stove from Seekoutside.

I am by no means an expert on stoves. With that being said, I think if anything, it may work too well and make your shelter uncomfortably hot if you make too big a fire. Aron Snyder has said that it gets hot quick in the Super and Mega tarps with stoves. The tarp you mentioned is a bit smaller than a supertarp, and would heat up very quickly. That shouldn't be a problem with proper fire management. The stove setup may also take up a fair bit of space in your tarp, making it a bit tight inside, especially with any amount of firewood and your gear. Again, I'm not an expert, and reaper has done this a time or two, so he would know better than I. Just some things to consider.
