Directional signs for hunting property - to get to stands

My buddy has a hunting property and lets a few of us hunt there. We are thinking of getting him signs to direct his guests to the various stands (and back). Some of the signs at road forks will require multiple (A, B and C to the left, X, Y and Z to the right, etc.) and ideally the same posts will have directions on the other side to get back to the main house. Has anyone done this before? Even I was able to find something online (here is an example), but wondering if the group has any other suggestions.

OnX is probably cheaper and less likely to degrade with time.
That's what I've done with guests on our place in the past. Get them to sign up for free trial and send them pins to our stands. Give them a rough direction and then have them use the GPS function to get there.

This has been helpful with multiple guests on our place trying them to get there safely without too much human scent walking them to the stand.

You can draw in a line for them to walk and share the line with them.

Or possibly create an account for the property with the username/password posted at camp? Then all stands and routes could be programmed into it.

Neat idea.
In my experience, plastic signs don't last outside. Get metal or wood with routed text.
Add something reflective so they can be found by headlight.
Instead of two-sided, just get a bunch of "Home" signs to add to the posts. Easier to recover from an ordering/production mistake.
There are a lot of custom sign makers on-line, get exactly what you want.

Or publish a stack of laminated paper maps with hiking routes instead of gps dependent stuff.

I gave a hunting host a set of tumblers with custom etched logo/text, e.g.:

Thanks for the replies. The age, experience and tech capabilities of his guests varies.

OnX and signs are not mutually exclusive, and since he lets us hunt a lot and he’s difficult to buy for, the cost of the signs is not a concern.

Some guests do come with or get OnX. But it doesn’t show the “roads” and sharing pins (there are many) is a PITA. Also riding in a SxS and looking at a phone, especially getting back in an emergency, wouldn’t be ideal.

Most of these stands are not in walking distance. Certainly not in a line. It’s also a good plan to have any hunter be able to get to another - to help track or load a deer, in an emergency, etc.

This is the idea. And I wasn’t envisioning 2 sided signs, just “home” signs on the other side of the post.

We are looking at this too.

Great idea. I got these for my cousin with the outline of a drop tine buck he killed. Need to do the same or similar for my friend.

Print out some Google earth images of the property mark stands and parking areas...laminate them. Let folks take them with them....dont know if they still make them but we used "cat eyes" reflective thumb tacs you could stick in the trees from the parking spot to the stand...if they can't figure that out they probably need a minder.

Have you thought of colored coded stakes- example follow blue until you see red take that to the left and follow until see green and follow that to the stand. Could use regular stakes and spray paint.

Guess it depends on how many stands and how the routes intersect.

Colored stakes go in front of the stand to mark yardage...white 100, orange 200, red 300 ect...;)

Interesting option. I’m still leaning towards stand names and signs, although some stand names may need to be cleaned up a bit…
