Hey guys, I’m getting into filming through a spotting scope and was wondering what setups you’ve found work best for stable, sharp digiscoping video.
More interested in keeping footage steady and usable in wind/low light situations

Any gear or technique tips appreciated 👍

The best set up I have found is an iphone with an ollin adapter, Sig Sauer image stabilized spotting scope and tripod. This really cuts out any wind shake. I have filmed a fair amount with the ollin adapter with vortex scope and tripod but you definitely notice any wind.

Paracord attached to the tripod head with a hitch knot to adjust length and a loop on the end.

You can use a tent stake, your backpack, or just loop it around the toe of your boot to add tension and stabilize the tripod.

You can also stabilize in post. It'll crop a little bit but if you leave the phone zoomed out you have a ton of space to crop and still have the entire FoV left after.
