With all the knowledge gained from being part of Rokslide, and field experience, implementing these things, what would your rifle setup look like?
Stock or chassis? Scope (and mounts)? Cartidge? Barrel length? Suppresed/muzzle brake/bare?
223 trainer to go with it? Multiple rifle for different species, or just one rifle?

Curious to see where this goes!

Here’s my Christmas rifle wish list:

16” barrel suppressed.
2800-3000fps
0.5-0.6 bc
Easy to get components, and not be finicky to load for.
7-8lbs with balance right in front of mag-well
As minimal recoil as possible
Rattle free aics mags
Rokstock (lite?) walnut.
Stainless.
Fixed 8power scope with capped windage, zero stop elevation, and intelligent reticle.

Easy peasy.

Not so easy.

Maybe 3 matching rifles. 223, 6cm or 22cm and 6UM

Tikka
18 inch barrels
Rokstok lite
UM rings
Swafa 3-9 on the smaller 2 and Maven on the UM
OG suppressor

I already have mine.
Elk and larger game: Ruger #1 in .300 Wby topped with Leupold VXIII 4 x 14 with ballistic turret for my reloads
Deer/Antelope : Ruger M77 (w/thumb safety) in 25-06 w/ Leupold VXIII 4x14 with ballistic turret for my reloads
Been shooting them for years, don't need anything different.

Easy peasy.

Not so easy.
If not the above: this would be an acceptable 2nd option:

I’ve never shot it, and have only ever seen pictures, but Forms tikka 595 master-sporter just has a certain presence to it. If tikka was still selling these, I’d buy one asap

My current T3x in .223 is pretty much it.
Swiffer 6x with a cut & capped windy dial, 18" barrel, Rokstock.

I just wish it weighed about 2lb less. It's hitting the scales at right at 8lb as it sits (which seems awfully heavy for what it is. The T3x Swede behind it is, somehow, nearly a full pound lighter. Stockys VG stock, same scope, longer barrel....) but I'd be much, much happier if it was 6lb.

I've got to used to carrying my 4lb UL-UL AR

-Sako 90 Short Action (in theory, never used one - thinking shorter tikka with integrated pic rail) - with a flush fit double stack mag.
-Rokstok but with a comb more akin to a gunwerks magnus/clymr and better recoil pad interface to adjust LOP
-2 stage trigger
-6 Dasher 20" with OG 6.5 or airlock 65. Spare 25 Creedmoor barrel for elk hunts - maybe used a braked suppressor on that one. Benchmark #4ish contour barrels
-419 hunt or nightforce rings.
-Tangent Theta 3-15 hunting scope (as i imagine it.. never used one). Happy with an RS1.2 as well.
-MDT mountain bipod.

The above is very similar to 2 tikkas i have in rokstoks with RS1.2 - 18" 223 wylde and a 18" 6 creedmoor.

Short Vanguard Action
6.5 creed
1:8 .75 taperless benchmark stainless 18"
Cerakote brown metal stuffts
Stockys VG1 with trashed spray paint camo
OG65
Berger 140 hunt at 2750fps
MDT Pic rail 20moa
Timney trigger
Factory bdl
Mythical 2-7 SWFA 2nd gen butler caps MKM level
Warne MTN tech low
Blue force gear hunting sling with their old style plastic swivels
Wiser Precision arca plate
Spartan gunsmith adapter

Somewhat hypothetical build,

Med nanook 25wsm
Brux #4 19"
B&a dakota
Rokstok lite
Hawkins bottom & mags
419 hunt rings
Nf nx4 4-16
Airlock 6.5

Tikka action W/ poly AICS Prc mags
6.5 prc
18" heavy sporter threaded 5/8x24
MDT Hnt26 folder
Nightforce NX6 3-18×44 FFP with cross hair center dot.
Airlock Zg 6.5

Do we have to choose just one? That’s tough. There are so many, not only really good and functional options, but fun options too.

My favorite rifle is a Beretta Mato in 280 Remington. It has been accurized by RW Hart. Right now it is topped with a Nightforce SHV 3-10. The only down side is that the barrell is a 10.5 twist. It does however shoot just about anything in the 140 class bullets extremely well. Right now I am shooting 140 Bergers and 120 hammers with it. Whenever it’s time to re-barrel it will get a threaded 7 or 8 twist 280 Remington barrel and an OG.

This, with these additions/changes:

1) Integral, machined in pic rail
2) RokScope, with modified THLR reticle
3) Nitrided
