Is this so you can use it on multiple guns of various chamberings? What is the discrepancy in volume on this particular can, when using a 5.56 can on a 5.56 gun and then a 7.62 can on a 5.56 gun?I would do the 7.62 one. I have sever 5.56 cans- I wish they were all 30cal.
That’s exactly why. The A10 is a legitimate can, works well. So why pay twice the money.
7.62.
Found my answer here. I need to get better at reading. Thanks!Yes- in general and functional use dedicated cans don’t sound any different side by side than a 30cal bore of same. So why introduce a one trick pony instead of it being able to be used on anything?
Hard to tell what’s Happening there but assume ultimately taping it is a non issue?Ehh. All the timed ones are about the same.

A smooth flat muzzle is better of course.

$450 is tempting for something to just put on the .223.
I've never really understood why you'd care if water got in a suppressor. It makes them quieter. With the AB is it easy to tape over the front on a hunt? We had all kinds of weather on a hunt this year and it was nice that my harvester evo just had a single hole to cover.
You can try out my Scythe with the .223 end cap if you come up and shoot with me this winter.Other than cost, why not a 5.56 Raptor 6?
AB Raptors can be had with 5.56 bores, flush mount they are light and sound wise the Raptor 8 is up there with the best of them in its size.
Between the Banish and the Wolf Hunter it sounds like you prefer the Banish on a 223, is that correct?
To no one in particular:
I need another can, it will primarily be for my 223 Tikka, but more flexibility would be nice. I really like my 7.62 Raptor 8, but not sure I want two of them, especially not in different bore sizes. On the Raptors that leaves me with a dedicated 5.56 Raptor 6 (Don't like the weight of the A10), or a 7.62 Raptor 10, but not sure I want the extra length nor need the extra sound suppression.
The Scythe Ti is another option.
The DD Wolf Hunter is intriguing, a touch heavy, but being able to us it on 6mm would be nice.
I'll have to look into the Banish 223.
I will have to do that, though if they have another black Friday sale, I will just buy one.You can try out my Scythe with the .223 end cap if you come up and shoot with me this winter.
RE the oem5 suppressor, I think B and T’s version called the mk12 is supposedly a fair bit lighter. Any exposure to that one @Formidilosus ?
I can only speak for the raptor, but yes it is easy to tape. With the AB is it easy to tape over the front on a hunt? We had all kinds of weather on a hunt this year and it was nice that my harvester evo just had a single hole to cover.
that is a sweet looking paint job - didnt recognize it as a RAR until I noticed the cheek riser. totally changes the look of that gen 2! I am tempted to try the sponge paint, but would try on my Savage Axis and MKii before doing it to my G2 standard which isnt as dull looking as the all black ones... And would feel less bad screwing those up...Nothing a good cover can't hide. it's TWICE the can the Banish is.....
