I want ai to experiment if sharp shoulder angles and straight cases make for a more consistent cartridge; like a dasher

Looks like we are close on the 223ai.

Same reason I want one as well.

18” barrel for me

I could live with an 18” and would pass on a 16

18" would be good. My interest in AI is getting about the equivalent extra velocity of 3-4 inches in barrel length in .223, in order to have a shorter, suppressed setup. An 18" AI barrel would be about like a 21 or 22" barrel for standard .223, which I could live with. A 20" AI barrel though, I'd probably pass on.

I can deal with an 18. I am putting an OG65 on it so could deal with more length.

I want a 7twist 223 and really want to see if the AI acts similar to a dasher with 40 degree shoulders and straight case tapers.

No preference, I'll go with whatever the more knowledgeable guys deem optimal for a Tikka.
