Like many others have said, boil in water with a tablespoon of dawn dish soap. Then scrape away. Continually change water as the fats from the hide with float to the top. Some people like to use a pressure washer to blow everything out. I never like doing that as I didn't want to break away any small bones.

Lots of good advice above but, for another handy reference, I've learned a lot about euro mounts and restoring deadheads from Whitebone Creations videos on YouTube.
