DD Enticer S TI vs Resilient Jolene S

I’ve been torn between the Jolene s and Enticer sti..
Went to my local gun store Tuesday and they had both in stock. I was going to go Jolene S but saw on their website the barrel restriction on 6.5prc was 22” and I’ve got a 20”…
Just went with the Enticer ti… Yesterday I got my approval and stamp from the ATF.. it took less than 48 hours as an individual.
My brother has a scythe so I’ll be able to compare the 2
I emailed about the Jolene s before I bought mine, they told me my 20” 7max and 18” 6prc would be no problem for it.

No kidding? I wonder why they recommend a minimum so much higher for the short mag type carts on their website. I have a 7 WSM enroute that I’d like to cut to like 19-20” but was thinking I’d be hosed for using my Jolene S…

What’s your 7 max load and velocity? Curious on how much more gas a 7 WSM will be pumping…

Heck my 20” 7 wsm even works with my Sycthe….should be golden ;).

Dumb question but the Jolene is not recommended to go above 750 degrees in temps. Has anyone actually measured temp of their can after say a 5-10 shot string? How easy is it to get to 750 degrees? I rarely shoot more than 5 shots before letting things cool a bit.

I've thought about it, but haven't done it yet. I've just slipped the cover back and touched it. I figure if I can touch it for a half secondish it likely isn't 750. I think 750 would burn you immediately if you touched it.

I think if you consider how bad boiling water will burn skin at 212*, 750* would absolutely wreck your skin on contact. Safe to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere in the ballpark of it. I had the Jolene a bit too hot to touch after a 8 shot string today and I am guessing it wasn’t even 200*….

I have a couple of cerakoted cans so last summer I brought a temp gun to the range. With an OCL Polonium on N 18” 300 PRC I would have had to shoot faster than I’d be comfortable with to get it over 500*. Normal range pace didn’t put in in danger. Did same test with a DD Wolfhunter on my 16.5” 22CM and results were similar. It would be very hard to get a can too hot on a bolt rifle. Gas guns are another realm.

I have my Jolene S on a 6.5CM with a 26” Remington Sendero contour barrel. My longest string was 39 shots. It was hot but nowhere near 750 degrees.
