I’m sure it’s been discussed and prolly threads but figured I get updated responses.

I need a good daypack/frame for hauling elk out. I know the expensive are the way to go and wish I could afford one. I’m looking for something 225 or under with the capability to haul. Ones I was looking at

King camo 2200 pack
Killik 2200
Badlands 2200
Any other suggestions?
If anyone has a exo or eberlstock used for under 200 let me know.

I have a cbe hybrid single pin I’d trade towards one also and 5 axis 340 arrows around 27” cut as well.

There's a Eberlestock X1A1 for $150 in the classifieds right now. It's not a frame but will haul quarters in the bag.

ALPS Outdoorz Commander packframe with 5,500 cubic inch bag. It'll haul anything and everything that you might be inclined to carry and it's very comfortable for 90% of users. Cost is less than $200.

Hell, before hunting backpacks became cool most of us cut our teeth on ALICE frame packs…still have the hipbelt scars to prove it. But again it’s about how much pain you’re willing to endure.

Yeah, back in the day, we used to run around in the Chugach and Wrangells chasing Dall Sheep with these on our backs .....

Im going to second a used Kuiu pack, if you have Facebook there are several kuiu based sales groups that have packs pretty often. 1850,2300,3600, or LT 4000 would all work for what your wanting.

I have a gently used Pop Up 28, I have been meaning to get pictures of and list for sale. If interested, let me know. I have used it to haul Antelope and Deer quarters.

I will send you a PM. I have not had the opportunity to haul an elk quarter on it, but have hauled a 4 antelope quarters in one load. I have read where others have hauled elk quarters in that pack.

Mystery Ranch Pintler. MR has a 30% off going now. Splurge and add a day pack lid on it and it’s very versatile.

I have a been eyeing the pintler and search for a deal on one. Just checked MR site and don’t see the 30% off. Where did you see it at?

It was on some type of social media. MR30 is the code. It was yesterday or day before that I saw it.

GoHunt had them on sale for 30% off with the code MR30 last I checked.

I second an on sale or used Mystery Ranch pack for the OP. Some of the best bang for your buck hunting packs out there. The Horn Hunter full curl is also a great heavy hauling pack for the money. It's a bit heavy by itself, but I hauled some very heavy loads with mine and always found it comfortable.
