I had an idea for an Assault Pack / Bug out bag in my head. But first I wanted to make a regular pack to make sure I could do it. I think it turned out ok. Now I am putting in the work for a more intricate / versatile bag. I have attached some other projects I have done.

I made some general purpose pouches for chest rigs that attach via Molle/Pals. I made a mag pouch same attachment system. I made some duty belts, battle belts and a dog collar.

Great looking backpack! I especially like the look of those shoulder straps. Did you follow a pattern to get the kind of "S" contoured shape? And what foam did you use for padding?

I traced a backpack strap that fit me well and used that design.

The straps have 1/4 FY20 and the back padding is one I’d have to check I can’t remember that one.

Cool pack. Curious how much it weighs?
Great question.

It weighs 770 grams or 1.6 lbs.

I have played around with the idea on paper trying to make a more light weight "Assault pack". I go back and forth between durability / modularity / weight.

Either way my next design is very exciting. I have been sketching ideas for some time and excited to see how it comes out.

Very cool. What weight nylon did you use. Any more pics of the collar. I've always wanted to make my own since those "tactical" collars are expensive for minimal nylon and stitching

Its hard to see but its Multi-cam black. Made with mil-spec webbing.

Nice work! What kind of sewing machine do you use? I use my wife’s basic singer for light weight backpacking gear projects but thicker material like cordura sometimes gives the machine trouble.

I'm about 99% certain @Kleos has a Juki 1541 or a variant based on the picture in the first post.

@4090Sharps is correct I use two different machines.

One is a Juki 1541 S and the other is a Juki 2000QI.

A singer probably could do this, but it would definitely struggle in certain parts. Also if you did this type of work too often you might run the risk of burning out the motor.

That all depends on what model singer your using.

Thanks for the reply/info!

Alright @Kleos you gotta dish on the label. Where did you get yours made?
I used Wunderlabel. I have toyed around with the idea of using an ink stamp or iron-on as that would cheapen it even more.

Those with a Cricut machine have some options as well.

Ah, I have seen them. I gotta have made in USA.
If you find a US-based company you like please let me know. I try to support US made as much as possible. I also want my products to be berry compliant.

I just needed these as I was making a product for a professional and I wanted my brand on there, ya know, just in case :).
