Read your review several times since you had posted your review on the Vanguard Endeavor HD spotting scope.

I'm taking the plunge. Ordering it throught Cabelas. They have it marked down from 689.99 to 489.99 and you get a free Vanguard Alta 243AV tripod. Not sure how good that tripod will be.

I will pair it with my new Nikon J1 for digiscoping. Can't wait to see how this works out.

I have the Vortex Razor 50mm. I have a PhoneSkope paired with my S5. I love that rador, but I was getting impatient on saving up for the Razor 85mm. I read the review and decided to give it a shot.

Sounds like a great deal considering the sale price and free tripod. The tripod should be pretty decent. I've been using a Vanguard Alta 253CT (carbon) for three years and still like it. Yours will have a PH-113V pan head which looks very similar to one people have spoken highly about on this site (the PH-111V I believe).
