Newberg hinted to ties with the captive cervid industry and this guy. Between that and the guys in PA, seems pretty fishy.
Would be great if there was some legitimacy but it doesn't appear so.
Living in TX, CWD might as well be chemtrails and flat earth with all the conspiracy theorists going on about it.
Goes both ways, the industry points out the State ignoring it walking across the boarder for Ten years, then decade later and all sudden is a breeder disease. Still laughing at the antibreeders blaming the panhandle on a “released deer/elk” in Dallam county. That’s some ignorance at the highest level. Original Medina breeder outbreak site is still very interesting Since it’s an AI case and momma didn’t have it.Living in TX, CWD might as well be chemtrails and flat earth with all the conspiracy theorists going on about it.
The simple truth is any link to deer breeding operations threatens the livelihoods of a lot of folks, especially in TX so anyone with ties to them should automatically be suspect.
That’s not how this happens. I’ve served on numerous federal grant review panels and this is not what it’s like. The panels are made of numerous scientists from multiple disciples from all over the United States. Scientists are not these evil self serving people like many believe. There are also state grants, companies also put out grants and some organizations have research funds as wellYou have to understand how the scientific community woks to understand some of this stuff. You need money to do research, someone has to pay for it. That money comes in the form of Federal Grant money. You have to apply for grant funding. Your grant proposal goes to a "panel of experts" that decide if you get funding or not.
That panel of experts is made up of leading researchers in the field. In the case of CWD virtually all of these people are going to be heavily involved in prion research. They may not necessarily want to upset their apple cart with new discoveries. They could simply deny any funding to the guy to prevent his research.
This type of thing happens all the time with grant funding. There are a ton of politics involved in this stuff.

I haven’t looked at the actual article yet, but I doubt this is the smoking gun that they want it to be. I doubt that the cure for all these diseases has been discovered in deer with CWD. That one guy in the video is way optimistic. I won’t get excited until this experiment isn’t replicated in other labs.
