Custom mini Canadian belt knife

Working in some CBK inspired designs with @Thegman. We are calling this style the AKBK (Alaskan Belt Knife)

What do you all think of the various profiles?

Not having them in hand, I like the blade design on the bottom and the middle ones. Basically I like the more upswept bellies with the less extreme spear point effect. If the blade has a severe spear point I find in more difficult to zip an animal open with the edge up. I prefer a more subtle drop point. The upswept belly makes the blade more slicey and a better skinner. Honestly, I’d probably pick the bottom one. It looks like a nice slim design that will cut and gut well.

I am between blades 2 and 5 myself!

Of that group, I'd agree. I think your latest will be even better.

It's interesting in my experience that very subtle changes in length, point angles and shapes, belly lines, blade weight etc. make noticeable differences in performance. All the CBK patterns I've used are among the best knives I've used, just some are a little better than others.

That is, for users that notice those kinds of things. When I see the knives a lot of guys use, well, not everyone notices these differences...
