My bro’s wife needs a simple basic hunting scope. No dialing, just a duplex, SFP, set and forget jobber. No Leupolds and no Vortex, probably no Burris. Don’t need fancy, but do need reliability. Current production I can buy somewhere now. Don’t have the time to shop used. $4-500 max ideally. Thanks.

I'd take a look at the Trijicon Credo 3-9. Euro Optic recently had them on sale for 399 I believe.

Have you considered the Meopta Optika5 2-10x42? I haven't seen nor used one but all the reviews I've read have been positive. I've had one in my cart on Camerland for like 6 months now but haven't bought it yet. It's $380.

Meopta Optika 5, or Trijicon Huron or Acsent. Maybe Steiner GS3.

Forgot about those lower end Trijicons. That might be the ticket. The Optika line seems to get mixed reviews.

I actually briefly had a Huron on a long action and couldn’t get ample eye relief so promptly sold it. In this case it’s going on a short action so it should work.
