After getting into a few PRS competitions last year I'm wanting to jump into NRL Hunter. I don't have a rifle that is ideal for that. Wanting to shoot factory and have a bunch of Cabela's points to burn. Looking through there I've come down to the D18 and CTR. It will be in 6.5CM. Scope will be LRHS. Any reason to lean one way or the other? The other option is to just say screw it and jump on one of the Sako s20? Would I gain anything but doing that?

I am shooting NRL hunter this year and went with a CTR. The barrel is heavier and should do a lot better with longer shot strings than the D18 Tikka or Sako. I checked out the Sako and liked a lot about it but the barrel was a little light for competition and the stock/magazine left a bit to be desired. Making weight in factory or open light with a CTR is no problem as long as you don't try to run a super heavy scope and or bipod.

CTR all the way. Sako is very nice, but just not enough after-market support and options for my liking.
