Crocs - who wears them

I day hunted with a buddy that wore a pair all day last fall. Quiet and comfortable. He even did a bit of stalking in them.

Thinking about adding a set as camp shoes. So who wears them. Be honest. No judgements.

Crocs are my go to summer shoes. I’ve been rocking the same pair for 6 years now and they’re still going strong (minus the “tread”). I don’t think I’d hunt in them, but they’re pretty legit fishing shoes. No shame!

I have a camo pair for inside the house and and a camo pair for boating. Critical part is the camo. Never have hiked them in. Usually wear socks with them - damn comfy.

I have a pair that have been used 2-3x when I knew I had stout river crossings on summer scouting trips. Even then, I can feel my testosterone dying just a little bit each time I wear them....

They are comfy. I have made a couple stalks in them before and they are pretty quiet. Also excellent for stream crossings! I have a insulated pair for the winter and uninsulated for the rest of the year.

Gods gift to us who don't care about fashion. I live in mine whenever I can. For stalking, I prefer the vibram 5 fingers.

I never wear mine outside of the house. They don't offer enough traction or protection.

I wear a pair of old trail runners with an EVA rock shield for stream crossing, stalking, and knocking around when I don't need my boots.

That said, if I'm indoors the Crocs are on my feet.

I wear them all the time. Drives my wife nuts that I wear them in public! They are comfy, I don't care.

My camp shoes as well.

Have been wearing crocs for about 15 years. Around the house and on hunts. Even had to hunt in them one day when I forgot my boots. Luckily we were mountain biking closed roads, did about 15 miles that day and they worked fine . Even put a stalk on a group of deer and got close but no shot.

Also like the merrel slip on shoes had a wool pair that were my go to camp shoes for a long time until they wore out.

The only people who talk shit about Crocs are people who have never worn them. I know this because I used to be one of those people haha. I wear mine around camp at the end of the day, helps the feet air out and they're super comfy and light. Also wear at home all the time to slip on while going in and out of the house for whatever.

I wear em inside everyday but never away from my spot. My Merrill Trail Gloves are my comfy away from home shoes.....I have a gor-tex pair for the woods.

I wear them around the house or backpack hunting around camp. Nothing feels better than slipping them on after a long day in some stiff boots.
