After hanging out with Avery last week he talked me into trying some Vivo Trackers.
I'm naturally flat footed and have wide feet. I've been lifting and working out in Bearfoot shoes for about two years. So my feet are sort of used to a minimalist shoe. Usually wear hey dudes or crocs when I'm not at work. I've noticed since using them my feet have grown a bit. Or they're just expanding from not being trapped in a tight shoe.

Anything I should be aware of? Planning on an overnighter scouting run next weekend. I should have them by then. Nothing too crazy as I'll have atleast one of my girls with me. Just a few miles in.

I ended up getting the full leather version, not the extreme. I'm assuming just wax them to keep the dew out?

Thanks fam

My opinion is you won’t even notice wearing them. They’re pretty water resistant. Use the renapur that comes with them and enjoy. They’re great shoes

It’s a leather moccasin with a beefy rubber sole. If your frame and feet can handle a barefoot shoe I’d just take it easy with any weight. Sounds like you’re going about it the right way though.

Wearing a barefoot shoe for a few hours a day to going to only wearing barefoot shoes takes some time to adapt. If you start noticing pain or if you’re over doing it I would take it slower.

The only major thing I noticed on my first multi-day trip was that my calves got worked harder than normal but it wasn't uncomfortable. It is the most comfortable my feet have ever been.

I did notice a little soreness in my feet when I rucked every day for a couple weeks getting ready for spring turkey season, so I would say just go slowly with extra weight.

I switched to boots and training shoes at the same time and do some work on that Bosu ball at the gym daily, my transition went smoothly!

I did 41 plus miles with them in 2.5 days on a turkey hunt, best my feet ever felt after that much use, of course everything was a little sore the first two nights but after a nights sleep my feet were good to go!

Wish I would have switched years ago, will have a pair of Trackers for elk season, have just been waiting for a waterproof pair!

So i usually walk about a mile or two on the treadmill in my Bearfoot trainers after I get done lifting. Been doing this for a while so I should be a little prepared to hike in Vivos.

I didn’t re-grease my ESC’s until the leather showed some signs of color change. I think that was around the 30-40 mile mark.
