Briksdal SF update. After wearing these boots for a couple weeks now, I've got some updates.
1. As mentioned by other users, there's not really a "break-in". The first couple of days they were a little stiff in the ankles but no pressure points or hot spots.
2. I didn't even attempt to keep the factory insoles in. Crispi uses a fairly thick almost felt type insole that im not a fan of.
3. The "5 Flex" isn't nearly as ungiving as I was anticipating. I cant tell a difference in flex between the Thor (4 Flex) and these
4. Messing with your lacing configurations can make these boots fit and feel totally different.

5. The tread on the vibram outsole is ideal, grips well even when wet, doesn't pick up small rocks, feels very stable
6. Not a very warm boot (I didn't expect them to be). Had them on several days when it was down in the low teens, and my feet got cold
