Do you feel like the break in time and work required be comparable to a kenentrek boot?I've tried both on, I eventually settled with the 4 flex. the stiffness difference was minimal IMO.

I've done the exact same thing in my crispi THOR and crispi Idaho's. The crispi insoles are not great. But with a new insole it's a totally different boot.Yes, like the kenes I feel like the break in time was minimal. However, one thing to note. I tried the Crispi's with stock insoles an did not like them, I took my green super feet in and tried them on and walked out with the boots. The insoles made a huge difference.
Opening dayWhen you plan on being in the brooks?
Did you keep the crispi insoles in yours, or did you change them out?I have used the birksdall SF for 2 seasons of sheep hunting, I think it’s a great boot, stiffness seems good, especially when carrying weight. IMO they are a bit too stiff for me if I’m not carrying a load, I used them for a 14 mile hike with just a day pack and they weren’t ideal for that.
