Right, so, in this particular chart, there is no correlating data between states that had strict lockdowns vs states that did not, I will give you that. But doesn't it also prove that there is no data to support the assumption that lockdowns worked? Your statement actually proves the overall premise.

Also, your assumption that LA/MS/AZ/FL/GA did not lockdown is inaccurate, all of those states issued lockdowns except that all of them except Lousiana (March) were later (like late April).
I believe the degree and duration of lockdowns were so variable from state to state that it is difficult to extrapolate much from that data. AZ as one example did drive a dramatic about face in positive case count through a lockdown and mask mandate so I personally believe there is anecdotal value there in terms of the pure science in terms of what sort of activities drive and curtail the spread.

That still doesn't reconcile for financial or mental health impacts of lockdowns which counterbalance the public safety benefit.

I could agree with you on most of those points. The bottom line is this is a states issue and IMO has been handled exactly the way that it should be in a Republic which is what we have as long as we can keep it, right...

So if States want to enforce draconian measures that do not violate the bill of rights, more power to them, as long as they aren't disobeying their own states constitution like Whitmeyer.

IMO - this is the way that most things should be handled, including marijuana, other drugs, and abortion. Anything that isn't in the constitution should be left up to the States as the 10th amendment states. Let the true competition of ideas win out. Either the state will be a Utopia or disaster but that will be based on their choices along the way. That is what a Republic is all about.

One thing that is amazing to me though, is how the same people that are calling Trump a dictator and tyrant are the ones demanding that the STATE protect them and assert executive authority over their day to day lives. The mental gymnastics it takes to square that hole is beyond me.

It's just too bad that once those failed policies turn their state into a disaster (looking at you California) those people flee like rats from a sinking ship and continue pushing the same stupid ideology elsewhere.

Yeah, that is no joke, funny how you see an exodus from the blue states to red, yet the blue voters still have the feeling that their ideas are exceptional.

From Elon Musk moving to Texas to Joe Rogan moving to Texas to Magpul leaving Colorado and Weatherby leaving California, you don't have to read tea leaves to see the writing on the wall.

Just have a look at their "leadership" on Covid coupled with claiming violent riots are covid free peaceful protests, and their regressive tax plans and the answer is crystal clear. Just as clear as you don't see people fleeing largely capitalistic countries for socialists ones, in fact, it's the opposite.

Hand them some rope and they will be sure to hang themselves, which is exactly the way it ought to be,

And speaking of inaccuracies, loose windmills are a danger to be around.

Lose - Verb - to fail to win, gain, or obtain

Loose - Adjective - not rigidly fastened or securely attached

Thanks. Spelling has never been my strong point. I've kept lists of misspelled words and written them hundreds of times and they still don't stick.

Well MI governors are either providing poisonous water to their citizens or trying to hard to keep them safe. No moderation in MI.

The problem though is that they are hanging the rest of the nation as well. I still haven't fully settled on whether that's intentional or they really have no clue at all. Either way.......it's a problem for the nation.

Right, I should have ended that with, "but don't come home with your hat in your hand crying to daddy for a bailout when you do"

Ok, How do you feel about NM governors latest freak out and restrictions? She has lost her damn mind evidently.

Let’s not get my thoughts about our governor mixed up with your statement suggesting New Mexicans spreading the COVID. You can go back earlier in the thread and disseminate where I stand with our governor. Incidentally I feel the same way about North Carolina’s governor, Colorado’s governor, California’s governor, and many more liberal governors and liberal politicians as I feel about Grisham. However my statement had nothing to do with how I feel about governors or politicians. But now you know how I feel about unfair statements about folks from NM. ;) normally I would not of responded in such a way, however this is not the first time I’ve seen you bash folks from NM on various forums so I couldn’t help myself.

So I ask you......With such disdain for NM, why do you insist on hunting here? You are the type of person who shows no gratitude or thanks for the privilege to hunt in our state.......

First of all, i was joking about NM residents spreading covid to other states. I have bitched about the LO tag situation in NM as well as the current liberal government of NM as well. This was based on nearly everyone i encountered in NM last month being in full panic mode over this stupid virus. I had people yelling at me about masks, being disrespectful and otherwise acting like a dirty Non resident was gonna be the death of them. I have no use for any of the liberal governors, especially mine here in NC. I know most of the residents of NM cant do anything about LO tags , nor the current covid mask requirements and excessive restrictions. But, that doesnt mean you or I have to be happy about it. I love hunting in New Mexico, however, I think the way the LO tags are used as a money racket for ranchers is ridiculous.
