My employer is now requiring we get the booster immediately or will be considered non compliant. Wonder how fast immediately is? They have given no deadline or anything. Pretty tired of this.

I was waiting For this to happen. Are they saying it’s based on the ETS? Boosters are not mentioned in the ETS.

My wife and I got the Pfizer booster on 12/10, no side effects other than I had a sore arm and she was a little tired one night. As far as we know, neither of us has had COVID.

My daughter recently tested positive for COVID (vaccinated but not boosted). My wife spent much of 3 days in a car with her just before she became symptomatic and I spent an hour and a half in the car with her just after. I've now tested negative twice and my wife once. Anecdotal I know, but I think this could suggest that the vaccine/booster does confer a high degree of protection in the weeks following the jab.

Meanwhile 5 of 17 guys on my hockey team are out tonight either because they have tested positive for COVID or are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID.

Around eight people in my family got their third and none mentioned any meaningful side affects other than four of them getting Covid recently.

I personally haven't got number 1 yet. Sad part is my bureblood sister and brother in law are being treated like outcasts in the circle they live in for this.

It's just old....Covid has been hashed out so many times in so many places and nobody is changing anyones minds and most of the opinions on both sides are completely ignorant.

It'd just be nice to have a place to go online that we didn't have to see it or talk about it but that would be too good to be true.
Man, on this website there are 40 to 50 different topics with about 200 pages of threads.

You, yourself chose to contribute to this thread. You literally picked it out of thousands and chose to become part of it. Can you find any humor in that?

I saw that and it almost read like a comedian's punchline. Not making light of your situation though.
Hope everyone is faring well.
Looks like I can add another. Boosted Mother-in-law tested positive after attending a funeral Friday.

Tell me again why people live in California?
I was born here in the early 60s, my parents were from Minnesota and came here for the opportunities and fantastic weather. We lived real rural, 15 miles from Disneyland, horses, and orange and avocado groves, and huge rattlesnakes. California had everything and was the greatest state in the US. It was pretty great until about the 80s/90s. The liberals from the East Coast and masses of foreign born legal and illegals have ruined it. There is an oligarchy with the Browns, Newsomes, Pelosis,Feinsteins and Gettys that are responsible.

There are 800,000 heart attacks in the US every year. You should have questions about our healthcare system. It's a total nightmare right now speaking as someone who is at the bedside. The guidance has not been great on COVID since the beginning. I never called you any names or talked down to you. I only asked you to explain what you posted, which you didn't anywhere in that post. How did you research a study that has yet to be published?
Bob Sagat joked about getting boosted 3 weeks ago dropped dead today. If you dont want to trust the study and get boosted no worries from me that should always be your freedom

Delta had some breakthrough cases, before that all our friends family that were vaccinated did not get it. That was until Omi, since then vaccinated and boosted friends in Florida all coming down with it.

As an RN i’m showing this quote from your article as an example of what the REAL PROBLEM IS RIGHT NOW:

“The general trend that I’m seeing is, if you’re boosted and you get Covid, you really just at worst end up with bad cold symptoms. It’s not like before where you were coughing, couldn’t say sentences and were short of breath,” said Dr. Matthew Bai, an emergency medicine physician at Mount Sinai Queens in New York City.

If you have “bad cold symptoms” stay the F out of the ER! The ER is for EMERGENCIES not freaking cold symptoms. The people this Provider is describing have no business in the ER they go because of MSM fear mongering. If they MUST be seen they should contact their Primary Care Provider and make an appt or at worst go to Urgent Care. Better yet though just stay home if you have cold symptoms.

MSM is yammering on about unvaccinated people flooding hospitals and i’m here to tell you it’s not true. It’s vaccinated and unvaccinated flooding the ER just to get tested. I JUST had an ASYMPTOMATIC 22yo healthy male take up an ER room and an hour of my time, a techs time, and the ED Providers time because he came in to get tested even though he had zero symptoms because he came in contact with a friend who is Covid positive 5 days earlier. That’s why hospitals are overly busy just stop listening to MSM.
A ten dollar oxygen testing device should be in everyone’s house. Get to know your baseline, mine is 98. If it drops below say 95 call doc, you get to around 93 hospital might be a good choice.

My middle daughter (20yo) caught the bug. She wasn’t boosted but had both shots less than 2 months ago. Symptoms are scratchy throat and a runny nose. Her boyfriend is on his second case and felt like a sack of assholes for a couple of days. He is back on the mend and going back to work tomorrow.

Omicron is bitch-slapping the vax in a way that it is impossible to maintain a narrative for longer than a few days. Wife's co-worker was vaxxed, then got covid, then boosted, then got omnicron... this in less than a year. Luckily omicron seems quite mild comparatively. The fact that covid + nurses who are asymptomatic or only mildly symptomatic can still work tells you a great deal.

The wife felt off today, took the 20-question test from the hospital to see if she should go in. She said the questions were so vague that it almost guarantees you go in, even if likely ill.
