Got to some carpentry projects I've been meaning to finish and taking the dog out on longer walks/runs than normal. Alternating between running/biking 5-10 miles. Managed to wear out my psycho Brittany spaniel, and now he has the temperament of an overweight bulldog :D

Same same. Getting legs ready for turkey season. Although I’m definitely building a split board. After following ski buddies up a skin track I see the light.

Going to work, sharing teaching responsibilities with my wife, PE instructor, hope to boil skulls tommorow, getting the 12yo ready for his first turkey season, spring property maintenance, etc., etc. Most of this stuff I do anyway, but it seems a little more rewarding now.

Cleaned up an old shotgun with the kid.

I don’t see how you could ever get the inside edge installed and aligned properly on a DIY split, especially if there is aggressive camber involved. Nice Funslinger there.

Luckily, I am still working, but when I do get shut down (probably later today)…setting up the new rifle I just got, DIY trail camera tree mounts, and possibly re-tiling my bathroom!

I have to finishing painting a rifle stock, got a couple of skulls to finish from last year, build some hangers for some euro mounts, bring my MT mule deer to the taxidermist still, basic yard crap, took a chance and took the plow of the wheeler.

Plan on getting out ice fishing a time or two still, trapping some Beaver, shooting snow geese. Already fleshed and dried some yotes and fox from the year and have to send them to get tanned.

I still am working just from home now so saving $100 a week on fuel and 50miles a day on my tuck. + we are saving $160 a week on daycare and what ever the wife uses for fuel in a week.

Been working on my landscaping-

put in one rock garden; ripped out everything in the front garden beds (house had been a rental for about 20 years before we bought it and it needed some attention), mulched them in and I'm now planning what to plant next.

Weeded out, turned over, added dirt and fertilized 6 raised beds that came with the house. Also planning the kitchen garden.

I need to put in a French drain system in the backyard.

Other stuff:

Shooting arrows everyday in the backyard

Working on my bass and guitar playing

Organizing gear, cleaning weapons, doing general maintenance

Working out (lifting, running) and hiking with weight on the weekends.

Spring turkey in about 3 weeks.

Putting my keg fridge back together and doing some home brewing.

Big cooking projects like pozole that I normally don't have time for

A bunch of little inside the house projects.

We have two French Britts we wear them out occasionally but the ext day is like groundhogs day you would never know.

Fishing (doing pretty good on winter Blackmouth), gardening, shooting my bow almost everyday, boat maintenance, worrying about how many people are going to be hurt financially/physically by this mess we're in.

I was a tile setter for a long time before I returned to school. If you need any advice I'm willing to chat.

Appreciate it. It's really going to come down to how long the females what to be without a shower!

Yeah apparently the DIY split just ignores the inside edge. I don’t see why I care but I’ve not splitboarded. What are your thoughts? They just epoxy the raw fiberglass to seal it.
I bought that funslinger that morning from a local rental shop for a song.

Without an inside edge, I think you are fine for skinning entirely casual terrain in skin tracks that don’t have kick turns. Once you get into kick turns, variable conditions (getting close to the wind affected summit of a peak in the spring, for example), I’d say it’s a no go. I guess you could use splitboard crampons and deploy them earlier than you would otherwise, but you’ll need that inside edge for reliable and safe kick turns or having to side hill up a short section of sketchy terrain.

Also, just an FYI, I sling snowboards and splitboards as a side hustle for Curated. If you decide to get a split (or a new solid, for that matter), or want to see what your options are, hit me up and I’ll give you a referral code and price match the best available prices. There are stupid deals this season because winter sales have all but ground to a sudden halt. I set a guy up yesterday with a 2020 K2 freeride board that was still retailing for $600 less than 2 weeks ago. He got it for $250. There has been a little bit more demand than usual for splitboards with all the closures , But plenty of options out there for $300-$400 off msrp, sizing is just getting spotty.

Also, there is a rumor that all or most 2021 bindings are going to ship 6-12 months late next season because of manufacturing setbacks and closures, which means there may be no new snowboard bindings available on the market next season.

This one will be about 10 feet long 6’ wide, 5 1/2’ tall, pretty plush for one guy. Should be right at 3-3 1/2#. I’ll add a stove jack for my light stove and 2 vents up top.

Let us know how it turns out! I'm curious to know what materials you're using.

Let me know if you have a split board to sell worth talking about. I ride my stuff short and wide for the most part. As an example, my favorite board is a 153W Lib Tech banana. Anyway I would prob be looking for a 160ish for a split. Maybe upwards of a 161-162.
PM me and I’ll give you my number. I’m in Santa but will be up in Chama next weekend and would be up to the drive up your way if something good came up. Thanks.
