38 gallons actually. Became available SR5 and up in 2016.
I’ve loved my 1st gen a bunch, it made the perfect hunting and camping rig while also being a good size for a daily driver. Despite having 250,000 on it, it never let me down or had any real issues in the 50,000ish I’ve had it for.
I just bought a 2011 tundra from a family member, so I’m curious to see how much I like it compared to my first one. Have any of you guys had issues pulling around small horse trailers with a second gen? I’ll probably try to get airbags installed at some point. I’m hoping to avoid having to grab the ranch truck every time I want to bring horses hunting with me.
As much as I’d like to keep the 2003 as a dedicated hunting rig, I’ll probably have to let it go. Tempted to use it as a plow truck on the ranch, but it’s definitely on the light side for that. If anyone in the Bozeman area would be interested, let me know! View attachment 871645
I bought my Tundra out of state, pretty easy to do, I flew into Seattle spent one night to deal with paper work and then drive back to Montana. I just saved my searches in autotrader. Cars.com, etc. I would even look at Dave Smith in Idaho, they got some good deals and good to work with on out of state sales.I will have to look into that whole process of buying out of state. That's a good idea though.
