I know in Cali with the laws down there the only thing that had to be registered was a the “lower”

I'm American. I found it humorous our awful government was going to free Canada from their awful government. We've had mixed results with that plan.

I get where you're coming from but from the sounds of it Canada is about as close to forced confiscation as one can get without knocking on doors/troops in the street. Our buy backs are voluntary. It's not quite apples to apples. I'm sure there's folks here that would be mad at their local smith though

I think this is different. I assume those are guns used in crime which would make sense to dispose of them.
These guns were all purchased legally, by some of the countries most vetted citizens, never used in crime, and are now being taken away because of feelings.

The not funny thing is that the asshole shooter that started the whole gun ban and confiscation program was an RCMP informant on the biker gang file. The RCMP were warned about him, told about his illegal firearms, and they did nothing because he was their informant. In fact the RCMP gave him $500,000 in the days before he started shooting that is still unaccounted for. To me this is huge news and scandal and it was covered up.

It's the inmates running the asylum up here. It's a damn shame.

I hope rural BC and the Island cuts out Vancouver and joins the New Free Republic of the West with abundant resources, the 2nd or 3rd largest proven reserves in the world, and terrific geography. Bright future of we go that way.

Truth. Since Dems gained a near super majority in the Colorado General Assembly they average a dozen anti-gun laws a session each year. They have ran through all the low hanging fruit so all that’s left is government buyback (aka confiscation).
