Looks like 5 on this thread. I had 3 and 14 as a resident. I’ve been one of the highest point holders to put in for this tag for years. Thankful to finally draw it.
DM incoming hahahaCongrats to who drew. I hunted S9 and arrowed a ram a few years back. Ass kicker of hunt.
This would be fun if I can make it. Where is the event held?Congrats! Mark your calendar on June 21 for the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society Sheep and Goat Hunter Meet & Greet. Registration opening soon at: https://www.bighornsheep.org/meet-greet/

Last year we had close to 300.folks in hand for an incredible half day of hunters helping hunters!

We also have the RMBS Rendezvous coming up May 17. Both are can’t miss events for newly minted tag holders.Congratulations! I just jumped on here to post the same thing! Just drew this tag for archery as well for 2025! Good luck!!!
I also drew the archery tag
I also drew unit 9 archery tag. Jumped on to start planning. Can't wait to get started.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Love the hunting community. My head is still spinning, unbelievable opportunity.@nmuhs and @RockyMountainThunder Congrats! That's wild. On one hand, 5 known tag holders allows the potential for some serious coordination and assistance. On the other hand, sharing info with 4 other hunters on a sheep hunt in the same range creates some fairly serious competition in the realm of sheep hunting.
We need detailed profiles and resumes for all 5 hunters and arrange for placing bets on who will be successful.
When Bowsite was at it's height, I remember there would be 100 guys talking about "Draw day" and it was incredible the number of guys that drew, The threads that were created throughout the year were simply inspiring.
Congrats guys, awesome to see a bunch of guys given the golden ticket. Now do the work and leave nothing on the table. Hopefully you all lose 15lbs on the mountain, and a picture to follow with puffy eyes, and smiles ear to ear!
Ok! I’m in Fort Collins. The Loveland one would be perfect. In Golden. where are you from?
Also we have the RMBS Rendezvous coming up May 17 in Loveland. I would, and did first time I drew sheep, Go to that—if want to meet hundreds of sheep nuts who have been there, done that, as related to hunting sheep across Colorado. I am the volunteer coordinator for both events as well.
I was already planning on attending the RMBS Society Rendezvous. Looking forward to it! I'll check for the post about the Meet and Greet. Thanks for sharing!@Mrshort Congrats! Just keep in mind the meet and greet is 100% about you and other Tag Holders sitting down with people who show up specifically because they have experience in your same unit and they want to talk to you. If you skip that when you could’ve actually attended that would be a mistake. Clear your schedule for June 21 and get there.Ok! I’m in Fort Collins. The Loveland one would be perfect.
I’m sure it is! I’ve drawn a few sheep tags and a couple of goat tags and a good handful of moose tags and it never gets old and the head is spending every time the first few days. Enjoy ALL of it.Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. Love the hunting community. My head is still spinning, unbelievable opportunity.
Makes sense. I’ll add that to my calendar! Thank you for the heads up and info!Just keep in mind the meet and greet has 100% about you and other tag Holder sitting down with people with who show up specifically because they have experience and you’re very same unit and they want to talk to you. Looks like 4 archery and two rifle if I'm reading right, not certain about @chasewildHow many Roksliders are going to be hunting this unit this Fall. Did I count 3 tags? I believe there was another thread as well.
I wouldn't expect to be sharing specific details on rams, but it's not a bad idea to have contact info in case someone gets in a bind. I'd be down to help pack if someone gets one down, and I can get to them. Also willing to share info and help if I happen to tag out early. That's wild. Do you have the exact location of the meet and greet or any recommended hotel for it? I might try and make it out for that one.In Golden. where are you from?
