Colorado 4th Rifle Thread

I liked the 3rd rifle thread so decided to make one for 4th!

This year I finally drew the tag that I've been trying to get for the last 3 years but point creep kept messing up my plans.

Finally got the tag with 7 points.

I'll be hunting Central Colorado area and am stoked.

The weather is looking promising compared to what it has been!

Anyone been out in their units scouting?

I found an absurd number of doe groups in my area so I'm hoping the rut activity is happening and I can get something solid.

I had a 4th rifle buck tag last year and I have a 4th rifle doe tag this year.

Buck tag this year, N Central. Drove through last Friday to ensure access / gates open but no time to actually get on glass & scout. Its been hot but this week looks much better and possible snow mid-season. I've got deer in my neighborhood and a few starting to act rutty... fingers crossed

I'll be chasing a cow tag down in the south central part of the state but hopefully I'll get to watch some bucks do their thing too. Also tagging in to see how it goes for folks.

In the last day or two, the bigger bucks have started acting ruttier in my neighborhood too, despite the summertime weather...

West central tag here! Saw 10 bucks tonight and two good ones. Lots of does!

Watched two matureish bucks scrap this afternoon over some does. Lots of smaller bucks chasing and some bigger bucks chasing as well. Rut seems to be solidly in swing out here in West Central. Good luck to everyone in the coming days!!!

Finally saw some bucks pushing does today in the SW. Wife has a doe tag so it will be fun to see all the bucks I didn't see during 3rd!
