Cold Bow 2026 QnA Thread

Thanks. To be honest I want to hit all 3 but I want to see what happens if I hit steel… if you zoom in you can see two top hats that used to belong to my friend but are now part of the steel elk

Same, the siding stopped one, but not the other. I now have a peep hole to check on what's going on outside though.
This is exactly why my wife won't let me shoot in garage. She thinks its only a matter of time before this happens. I hate to admit it but I know she is right

Between kids, church, yard work, and Mother’s Day today, no shots were had today. Will hopefully be back at it tomorrow morning!

At one of the local clubs, there's 2 holes halfway down the indoor range, in the rafter cover. I don't think they are 1.5" apart. Same guy, same night, was having release issues.

Some jackwagon might have wrote his name on them and said "Atleast he is consistent"
It’s always fun going to the local indoor range and seeing an arrow stuck in a ceiling joist or holes in the ceiling. I have always wondered what happened in those situations and after almost donating an arrow to the local range ceiling last week I was quickly humbled.

Frequently it's here try this release.

Adjusting a hinge the wrong way by accident.
Trying to shorten travel on a sear and its not engaging enough. Or picking up a tension that you hold the thumb barrel on when you have been shooting a thumb trigger.

Brand new indoor sports complex, was hosting a big national indoor shoot, buddy put an arrow through the wall.
That was just nerves with a hinge.

Wrapped up shooting this morning with @Arrowjack0807. Our winter indoor league shooting definitely paid off as we weren't rusty coming into this. Glad to get my son involved in this challenge and we are looking forward to the Cold Bore Challenge as well. Thanks to the mods and sponsors for putting this on.

And that’s exactly what I did, adjusted my thumb release to be a little more of a surprise the day before. It was definitely a surprise ha

Finished up this morning. Overall, I am happy with my shooting. Would like to see all the arrows in the center of the target, but MOA at range is as good as I can do right now. That 6" circle looks pretty small thru a peep at 60 yds. I think I shoot better at a spot than a circle, must be a concentration problem.

Finished Day 3: Light wind, seated, out of the line

So in two years of shooting at 60, I am four hits out of six shots. So I am definitely a little outside of my MER shooting at 60. But that’s why I do this stuff so I know.

And as we usually know, standing with both feet planted firmly is the most stable foundation to shoot from. As soon as I kneel or sit, pin wobble increases. I actually had to let down once this morning.

Good luck everybody, hope you’re having fun, I sure did

@robby denning Ive read this out loud about 10 times and i still feel like i'm riding the short bus. can you clarify? "...you do have to be done within 4 weeks (June 5th) or within a few days when 100th shooter finishes to qualify for prizes."

There's only 100 entries, right? So how can you be within a few days of the 100th shooter finishing, when the 100th shooter finishing would be the last possible entry anyway?
