Better a coyote or target missed than a big buck/bull!I missed a coyote a few years back who was out behind our sheep field when I hit my fence. Took out one strand of our field fence. Coyote ran off unharmed
I will say I do like watching all the videos in the official thread. Fun watching the vapor trails!

Quade and I were shooting on the Paunsagaunt! No speed goats for us, just giant bucks. Maybe a desert sheep......@Legend, you’re right we look like a bunch of antelope hunters on there. Way to make it real man. Even though you missed, your shot is as realistic as it gets.
Hilarious... Public service announcement: the baby monitor loses signal some where in that .5 mile stretch, causing an oh shit moment and you’re forced to accept a shitty pic through the spotter. Haha

Oh what’s an inch at 618 anyway? Lol.It's humble pie for me, missed at the qualifying shot at 618. Still fun! Good luck to the rest of you
Thanks for highlighting my miss! Tried to wait for a lull in the wind, should have just accounted for it. A few others have owned up to misses at 600 now, the pill is slightly less bitter to swallow.Looks like it’s off to a good start. Seems to be slightly more hits than in the cold bow challenge.
Doesn’t look like anybody’s dealing with a whole lotta wind, I definitely got lucky here
Seems like the guys that are qualifying for 600+ are doing really well. I only picked up one guy that disqualified himself for the longer yardages.
@Dioni A
@sndmn11 saw my life flash before my eyes on that shot. Talk about squeaking it in there, man, good work!
@Wickedwagens you got hosed man! Better luck tomorrow
Make sure you tell us what your page number/post number is if you want us to look at your shot.
Mine is page 2/post 32
Dookie sandwich doesn't taste quite as bad when it's a group lunch .Thanks for highlighting my miss! Tried to wait for a lull in the wind, should have just accounted for it. A few others have owned up to misses at 600 now, the pill is slightly less bitter to swallow.

I screwed up my new loads the other day trying to rush for this and luckily still have 6 rounds of my trusty load. Part of my screw up was excessive neck tension and ruining the jacket when loading, never heard of using graphite lube, can you enlighten me? Thanks!I've been racking my brain all day feeling like I screwed the pooch somehow outside of my ability, I know I haven't been shooting much lately but I feel like my technique is pretty sound. Sitting here eating dinner running through everything in my mind, I realize I got sidetracked and forgot to put graphite lube inside the necks while loading last night . No excuses, but I'm at least a little more excited for tomorrow and maybe some redemption..
Future wife. She wouldn't quit bugging me about it so I had to break down and buy one of them shiny circles instead of a new gun...SMH. I'm slowly getting her to practice more, but she's done well on the last few doe tags and she's due for a good muley tag this year or next.Oh what’s an inch at 618 anyway? Lol.
Good try man, you can redeem yourself on the next shot.
Is the little lady your wife or your daughter or…?
I hear ya, between working Ag 6 days a week and developing my property I've been swamped but I really wanted to participate so I prepped and cranked out some loads last night. I started using graphite lube about a year ago after experiencing some issues with cold weld in multiple rifles where I had loaded bulk batches for hunting season and then noticed pressure signs and vertical increase when I would shoot those same loads the following summer for season prep. Researched cold weld, and concluded that was the issue by running a few of those old loads through the seating die and seating a few thou deeper, you can hear an audible pop from the bond breaking. Been using graphite lube ever since and I've noticed a nice reduction in seating force, and load stability over time.I screwed up my new loads the other day trying to rush for this and luckily still have 6 rounds of my trusty load. Part of my screw up was excessive neck tension and ruining the jacket when loading, never heard of using graphite lube, can you enlighten me? Thanks!
Sorry man, but I never mentioned any names. I know the feeling, I’ve missed more shots in the cold bow on the first day than hits. And I’m always one of the first ones to post so I can’t hide. Thanks for highlighting my miss! Tried to wait for a lull in the wind, should have just accounted for it.
