Looks like any route I would take is closed. I won't be getting to Colorado for another 10 days, so things are apt to change between now and then.

Sheriff out here in New Mexico told me that 412 and 87 going out of Clayton will be closed for 24 to 48 hours a little bit ago. That most likely will be the same for Raton pass. Looks like I'll either be back tracking south to tucumcari and driving up through Santa Fe or maybe go up to Lamar and then over.

I'm going to look into other options myself. I'm headed to Monte Vista, so I could come up through Chama if needed. I've driven home that way before.

Made it to my unit. Ugly out there. Be careful! Denver and the eastern plains are getting pounded so 70 from Kansas isn’t an option the next 24-48 hours!

I'm keeping an eye on the roads myself. Raton pass and I25 in general doesn't look too good.

I25 is not good. My wife and I stopped over at the NRA Whittington on our way to Wyoming and looks like we will be stuck here a couple of days.

Good luck you all to those heading out in the mountains. Very heavy snowfall just south of me with expected 18 inches more of snow for Raton/Trinidad/Walsenburg area between now and Saturday morning. Sangre De Cristo mountains are expecting 3-4 feet or more of snow. Sure could've used the snow last month. Lots of trucks pulled off I-25 waiting it out here. Elk will be walking the roads soon!
