Good for you man! I got in right at 9 and somehow wasn’t able to snag like 1 of 24 available, sometimes it’s a head scratcher

How does it work if you wanted to essentially swap tags. I have a tag I drew and want to switch to a different unit? Can you buy the leftover first and then return the other tag or do you need to return your tag first?

You need to turn in your tag and hope for the best.

I was in, confirming hunt code, and checked out by 9:01am. It doesn't take long. I went back in for a bear tag but they were gone.

That’s not really it imho, it’s thousands of folks going after them, it happens all the time even with reissues. I am not kidding when I said fraction of a second to select and put into the cart.

If it’s one that isn’t gonna sell out and you go to a CPW office you can do a swap and it saves a fee, but that’s only useful for OTC or tags with tons of leftovers/low demand.

The secondary draw is 100% preference to youth. Your odds in that round were zero to terrible.

Not exactly true. Depends on the tag. If you look at the draw recap for the secondary - there’s a hell of a bunch of adults (me included) that draw every year.
