Anybody watch this interview that hit YouTube yesterday? The wolf discussion portion was especially interesting to this east of the Mississippi River FNG.

Different perspective for sure than what’s preached on here.
He thinks 6.5cm are trash.
He thinks 30/06 and larger are awesome.
He obviously knows a lot more than most but its a proven fact 6.5 cm kill as well as almost anything and so do 30/06.
I don’t buy his hype on the larger cartridges nor do i buy into all the new cartridges that everyone’s pushing.
I do wish cliff would have pushed him to explain why using smaller cartridges like then 223-6.5 and spotting your shots is not a good idea.
At the end of the day he’s trying to sell his product.

Yeah and he advocated shooting running elk in the timber with 338/378 magnums as it "does not matter where you hit them" i.e. just hit them in the guts with a magnum and they wont go far vs having to shoot them in the lungs/heart with a smaller cartridge. Stated that even 7 Rem Mag is too small for elk and on and on...

God he was a hard listen. I’m not stuck on small calibers for life, but blasting an elk in the ass and not caring seemed pretty cowboy

I definitely don’t like his perspective on that.
I’m not saying i wouldn’t but I dam sure dont plan on shooting any game up the ass.
I think cliff did more harm than good with his audience.
Dont interview like rogan does and just roll with it.
Push a guy a little.
He should have said **** that,i don’t advocate for Texas heart shots.

Personally think the guy is unethical, but has some luck on his side. Using a large caliber to purposely take unethical shots. I couldn't finish it.

The Canadian wolves and US Fish and Wildlife/Ed Bangs issues they discussed towards the end were the most intriguing to me.

A search stated “Ed Bangs, as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Western Wolf Recovery Coordinator, led the reintroduction of wolves in 1995–1996 to restore ecological balance, manage overpopulated elk, and fulfill Endangered Species Act requirements. This initiative aimed to restore the "natural predator" to its former habitat, improving ecosystem health.”

I’m thinking there sure could have been a lot of $$$ raised selling elk tags to hunters as a much more “humane” way of “managing overpopulated elk.” As for the “improving ecosystem health,” this is above my pay grade – but watching the alligator population get out of control in places over here leads me to question this as well.

I tried to watch some of his youtube and they are all hard watches. He is very knowledgeable but comes off as extremely arrogant and closed minded.

Everything I have seen and heard about Tim Sundles is that Tim Sundles is all about Tim Sundles and selling Buffalo Bore product. That said he makes some really potent 44 mag loads.....
