Bought a CA Ridgeline in 6.5PRC couple years ago because I had some Cabela's points burning a hole in my pocket. Got it home and scoped the barrel and it looked horrible and would have been a copper hog. Back then components were impossible to get but you could get Hornady loaded ammo although expensive. I wasn't happy with how the barrel looked and didn't want to burn up $75 a box ammo just to see, if, it would shoot. Contacted CA and explained the situation and they were awesome about taking care of it. Sent me out a prepaid shipping label to get it back to them. Got a email shortly after they got it back saying they agreed, the barrel was one that shouldn't have been installed and they would replace it, then shoot it at their facility to confirm new barrel shoots to acceptable standards. Got it back a few weeks later with a couple different targets they shot with it using Hornady 143 & 147 ammo which was the same stuff I had. Per their test targets both ammos shot .4 and .3 with the 147 shooting slightly better. Got it home and mounted up a NX8 then proceeded to shoot. Not only did the new barrel look good on the borescope but it shoots the Hornady 147 ammo in the 3's. Don't know how I could ask for any better than that.

I have a FFT Ridgeline and two FFT Mesas. No complaints and no issues. All three shoot well.

I have a Traverse in 28 Nosler. It has a tight chamber but runs the Hornady ELDX factory loads well enough to ring steel at 1400 yards.

I had the opportunity to mount a scope on a Ridgeline in 6.5 CM for a friend. After mounting the scope I dialed it in for him. I was impressed so I bought myself one in 6.5 PRC. I am very happy with the rifle and it’s performance.

I own one in 6.5 CM, and have set up 2 others for people (Lefty 6.5 CM and a 6.5 PRC). They all shoot well. The lefty CM hits pressure signs (stiff bolt, ejector mark) with Berger and Precision Hunter factory ammo, but does fine with Nosler 140 BTip ammo. I think it has a tight chamber, but the guy that it belongs to is happy with shooting the Nosler ammo that doesn’t show pressure signs, so it never made a trip to Christensen. I’ve been more than happy with mine and the PRC I set up for my boss.

I have a 280ai ridgeline that easily shoots under .5 moa if I do my part and a 6.5 prc mesa that I just bought and haven’t shot yet but I have no doubt it’ll be a shooter as well. Of the two, aesthetically I prefer the Mesa but that’s just me. My only complaint is the bolt could be a little smoother but that’s my only complaint. I wouldn’t worry about getting a lemon, I know a few other guys who have them as well and I’ve never heard anything bad about the personally, just what I’ve read online

I had handled a Christensen Arms Ridgeline in the local gunshop and liked it a lot, so I have been thinking of getting the gun in 300 win mag. BUT, I started looking at reviews by "customers" on different sites and they just rip the gun apart - it seemed that 7 out of 10 people had issues with the gun not functioning properly (cycling rounds, etc.), could not get anyone from Christensen Arms Customer Service to answer the phone, waiting 8 months for a repair to be done, etc. For how much "good" I've read in different magazines, this strikes me as odd.

What is the real scoop on these guns? Good quality gun, or is the company starting to turn out crap?

I just wanted to take a min to give my 2 cents since I recently bought a fft in 7 prc last week and have put many rounds since...I like to live on the wild side so I thought I'd roll the dice because everyone knows these rifle are awesome top of the line if you get a good one...mine was made in Oct 2024 and mine is absolutely perfect in every single way..I did a half way break in procedure and this gun shoots 3 different ammos under a inch with easy even in shifty conditions..the bolt is silky smooth trigger is perfectly crisp and the over all build of the rifle screams quality..this is what I would expect of christensen and I'm glad I got a good one I love everything about it..hopefully this is step in the right direction for them because it seems there quality level has gone back up...my buddy has same gun he bought in 2022 and it's been sent back 2 time's..2 other buddy's have one 1 a ridgeline not fft model and one a mesa and both had problems so my odds were against me lol...I am by no means a christensen arms fan boy..quite the opposite really I'm a browning man threw and threw..but I'm disgusted in the xbolt magazine..I had a 1 hole shooter pro model that I sold before buying the christensen because of 2 broken mags..cheap pos mag if you ask me...2100 dollar gun with a plastic mag blows my mind..any way my overall opinion is I absolutely love it and it's perfect from top to bottom..with as many bad reviews I thought they deserved a good one for this rifle they couldn't have built one better.

I have a 300 win mag ridgeline, a 300 prc ridgeline fft, and a 6.5 cm mpr and they all shoot great. Everytime i have reached out to customer service they have been easy to reach and very helpful.

I have had this same question for a while. I like the looks, the feel, some of the extra features, and seems like a reasonable price. They also are a local to me, so I would like to support them. However.., I think they may top the list of negative reviews on guns I’ve seen. From being bad shooters followed by terrible customer service. Compare that to a company like Seekins that seems to have excellent reviews on both aspects. It seems like one would be flipping a coin if they got a great shooter or a dud. So are they really that bad, is it just people that parrot what they heard on the internet that haven’t owned one, or is it a past issue that has been remedied?

I’ve had several Christensen rifles over the years and they’ve all shot very well. The guy I have set up my rifles and do break in and load development has set up hundreds of Christensen rifles over the years, and has nothing but good to say about them.
