yes, other than issues with having different serial #'s for background checks (i'm not familiar with the legalities in relation to this), I'd be pushing for them to replace the whole thing if they are acting like getting a proper bolt takes 2 months.
I didn't think of that. I am going to ask if it is better to replace the entire rifle so I don't run into any legal issues with the serial numbers. Thanks for that thought.

For clarity there is no issue with serial numbers on bolts, the one that matters is on the receiver. There is no standard with serializing bolts that i'm aware of. I'm saying if they replaced it the serial # would be different than the one that they used on your fed background check for your current rifle. I'm not sure if that matters.
