Chop and thread 280 rem…what length

As the titles states, I’m chopping and threading my 280 Remington and waffling on length…18” or 20”….any recommendations?

Primarily whitetail hunted under 300 yds.

18 all day if 300 yards is the max. Id even go 16 assuming you'll be suppressed?

I run a 18" 280ai suppressed, it's been great. I'm sure 16" would be good too.
