Yes, but this is no 3/4 ton! Those numbers are pretty darned good for its class. Tacoma is in it's class, compare those! (grin) Both are very closely priced. Just things I'm thinking on!

my 06, the achilles are the brakes. what a joke. they have never felt that great. i had a chevy worktruck for a long time. every time i got out of the tacoma and drove off with the Chevy; the first time i hit the brake i would launch my body forward. i had to recalibrate my braking pressure every time. Chevy brakes > Toyota brakes...i dont know about the 3rd gen tacoma. never drove one.

I have the 2005 Tacoma & the brakes are just like you folks posting, no so good! (grin) I even replaced the rotors & brakes with pads that were supposed to have superior stopping power, yeah right! Didn't happen!

Tim, I didn't get a chance yet to test drive that little beast! (grin)

I knew the Nissan had the smaller cummins, good to hear you like it! Are they more expensive? That's a heck of a price 34.000 -- Do you have a name or # of a dealership with that price? Thanks bud!

I can speak to dealing with Laura Buick. I drove 30 minutes down the road to them and saved nearly $14,000 off sticker price at another dealership. For our area, there is no one comparable. Even with 30,000 miles on my truck now, I am still ahead on KBB value over what I paid. Like mentioned above, people fly in to buy from them when they have a deal going on.

From the time I walked in the door to when I signed my paperwork, they had sold 18 trucks, and were taking orders on new ones being delivered after selling out that week.

Scott, wow that's some crazy sales! Sounds like a place to possibly consider! I'm still planning to drive the Colorado Z71 - ZR2 & Canyon SLT -- I will drive both gas & diesel units. -- I just found out I may be hitting the Seminar Trail covering 4-5 states this upcoming year so I may need this truck more than I had thought!

That would be so great to seminar w you in person. Hope your schedule brings you to CO Front Range. All those truck miles would be tax-deductible, unless the rules change.

Yeah seems some have had that but same goes for all other makes. I have 6k on mine and have not been to the dealer since I bought it.
