Moving to Alaska in May or June gonna fly to Billings, and buy a new truck for the drive up. Who is the cheapest dealer that doesn’t do stupid markups in Billings Montana or in that area?

Last I heard Idaho was the place to go for trucks under invoice, though supply chain may have screwed that up...

There is a dealer network in Granger IA that did 3% under on orders. Not sure what they do pricing wise for inventory on the lot. If you want, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the email.

I used the Granger Ford dealer for my truck at 3% under invoice.

Yes! I did auto-dictate on my phone.

Edited now!

No, they are back to the same bullschitna as everyone else.

Sucks. I think all the deals these days are on custom orders like through granger. So you're like a year out on a lot of those...

Otherwise MSRP is a good deal.

We used Dave Smith. They don’t have a lot of stock. Had to order one. It was a decent experience.

Why specifically are you trying to buy in Montana? Because there isn’t sales tax? Right now Montana sucks for buying any vehicles new or used. I know most people I have talked to are going out of state to Washington or Idaho to buy stuff because they usually have much better inventory and options for both new and used vehicles.
Ymmv…

Yes on the sales tax thing. I’d buy in Alaska no sales tax there but prices are inflated.

you can purchase from most states and not pay sales tax if you're a Montana resident, just let them know up front- usually just a short form to fill out

Last time I bought an out of state vehicle was on a visit back to Southern Illinois. They couldn't believe that I didn't have to pay sales tax until they looked into it.
