Does anyone know if there's a way to replace that glass window with a sheet of titanium or something?

I'd want to reduce the weight further and prevent the possibility of broken glass.

It is available from Amazon now. Delivery date isn't the best but $129 delivered isn't that bad.

Anyone order off of Amazon and take delivery yet?
Looks like the same model as original post but maybe better service from Amazon if there are delivery or product issues, etc.

I will update when I get it. I think delivery date is Dec. But with an amazon gift card it only cost me $29. So I am not worried about the wait.

i have one of these on the way from Amazon.. we'll see if it actually shows up.. seemed like the delivery date was bouncing around a lot, and at one point even switched to unavailable.

Mine came in from Amazon 2 weeks early. Wednesday hopefully I will get a chance to set it up in my cimarron and maybe get a burn in it. The bag that it comes with will be getting changed out.

You were able to purchase it on Amazon? What did it cost you on there?

I decided to order one to test and mine also came in a few weeks early.

Initial impressions are it’s a nice stove and no complaints. I already own a Liteoutdoors stove and a buddy owns a Seek Outside large stove.

My scale reads 3 lbs for the stove and dampener (everything but the stove pipe). Other than putting it together I haven’t messed with it, but I can say it assembles easily and seems well built. I’d say the panels appear a little thicker than other stoves I’ve been around if memory serves.

I think it’s pretty much a carbon copy of the GoHunt stove, but with a glass door.

There are lighter options. The Liteoutdoors is probably one of the lightest, but I’m not a huge fan of assembling it, and the legs on the LO are basically useless. Too short and makes the stove so low to the ground you end up smoking out the tent as twigs and moss burn under the stove body.

No complaints and I’m happy with the Soomloom. For the price, it’s tough to beat. I’ll be packing it next spring for bear season and see how it fares. It’s not the largest stove, but about perfect for a Redcliff and/or smaller.

The little screws that secure the stove pipe dampener to the body may be an issue so I’ll buy a couple spares at the hardware store.

The Soomloom carrying case is acceptable in my opinion, but I’m curious what case you would replace it with?
