For pipe rings, I make my own. A simple thin steel cable crimped to the proper diameter is pretty easy to make. This stove came with spot welded solid rings, but I have a bunch of steel cable rings I plan to use instead. Not a huge weight saving, but a little lighter using cable and easy to make as many as you want for cheap.

I had one of the welded rings snap at the weld and tried a different brand of the cable type but they were too small. I didn’t even think about making my own. I might have to give that a try. Thank you.

Argail sells replacement rings for 3" pipes.

Can anybody confirm diameter of the aliexpress/amazon chimney pipe?

I'm planning to pick up either a short extension or a whole 10' piece for my bigger tipi. Gohunt sells 2.5" dia pipe.

So I ran a Luxe WWW stove which this is a direct knockoff of for a few seasons in Montana. It worked well for a 4 man tipi, kinda heavy with the glass front for its size. Ive since upgraded to an SO 8 man tipi and their SXL stove. Its almost twice the capacity and weighs less than my old WWW. Made it America as well.

I picked this sheepherders style stove for my SO 12 man tipi for $40. Knocking some rust off and going to give it a coat of high temp stove paint.
Figured since I’m not backpacking with the 12 man, I had room to get a big stove.

I’ll still use my buddies SO SXL stove for when we do fly in trips in AK with the 12 man, but we hunt in September and it doesn’t get too cold that time of year.

I wanted to like the SO stoves, and planned to replace my LO stove with them, but I found putting them together to be a slight pain in the ass. My buddy disagrees so maybe it’s just my form of ‘tism. Love SO tipis and tarps, but I guess I prefer this Chicom stove, and yes it’s 0.5 lbs heavier for a smaller stove. Should be just about the right size for my Redcliff with 2-3 people. We’ll see how they fare.
