Kinco work gloves, the old ski patrol standard. Work some snow seal into them for wet weather.

Personally I have never found a set of gloves, regardless of price, that I'm happy with. I have a pair of Carhartt chopper mitts I got for like 20 bucks. They are very warm and I can basically throw my right mitt off in less than 1 second if I need to take a shot.

Choppers with wool liners in extreme cold or when sitting for long periods. They're off in a fraction of a second.

I usually pick up a set of these Head gloves at Costco whenever they start setting out the winter gear ($18). Has worked great for snow blowing and cold weather work:

Those head look like a good option. Im wondering what size... Im 6'4 200lbs. And I can bearly palm a basketball. ha

How a glove fits is the most important factor, in my opinion. It doesn't matter how expensive a glove is, if it limits circulation, your hands freeze. Try on a bunch before buying anything. I've had better luck with cheap Walmart gloves than anything. Not because they are better, but that I've stumbled on to a pair that fits me perfectly.

M65 military overpants for +-$20 on ebay= cheapest glassing pant and pillow stuffer. Moving the buttons back on the leg for more overlap at the sides adds considerable warmth.

Love those wrangler pants. discovered them a couple years ago.

While trying to cut weight on a trip, I swapped my ultralight thermarest cot for a Alps Mountaineering air mattress, cheaper ($60) and every bit at comfortable in my book. Now I prefer it.

I don't have Ferrosi, but the Wranglers don't even resemble windproof. They're somewhat wind resistant, but when it picks up, you're going to feel it.

Agreed on Wrangler pants. Had been eyeing them at North 40 but around $65 a pair was kind of steep to try them. Girlfriend later dragged me into target for her crap and they had the same ones for $25!
