I've taken this tent on multiple hunts and backpacking trips and for the price it just keeps performing! Easy to set up and pretty light!
I've been looking really heavily into snagging one of these! Have you done any winter camping in it? Obviously it won't perform like higher end in the cold but just curious.

It's a single wall tent so I haven't taken it out in the snow, but I've camped in it in November in the PNW and it is great!

For antler and horn cleaning, I have not found a better product. I’ve had several taxidermist that suggested it for routine cleaning as well. Restores luster with out excessive shine:
You clean your antlers/horns!!!???!!! I've never heard of such a travesty! My favorite mount has a bunch of moss wrapped around the base of it!

Just wait until you have few years of sun and dust set in on the antelope you just killed…it’ll look like it grew velvet, lol :)

I just cleaned mine and should have taken before and after pics. Depending on the amount of sun exposure and dust baked on the amount of color fade can be significant. But I guess if that’s the look you’re going for then to each his own. I just prefer mine to maintain the original look as much as possible, at least on the dark antler/horns that are hanging in the house anyway. The meatbull section in the garage will probably never see a rag.
Ahh...interesting. I've been lucky in that none of my mounts ever see direct sunlight so I've never had that issue. I just blow off the dust/cobwebs once a year and call it good. They all look exactly the way they looked the day I killed them.

When it comes to gloves, I finally came up with a solution that works for me after years of disappointment with just about every other option. I buy the flip top mittens and a few packs of toe warmers. The toe warmers are cut in a half moon shape and have an adhesive on one side. I stick them in the top side of the mitten flip top part of the gloves and I can flip them open when dexterity is required and keep ‘em closed when warmth is needed. The other thing I found that helps is to keep the core warm so the body is pushing blood to the extremities. Whether you use body warmers, electric vest or jacket, or what have you, this also helps a lot.

32 degrees is a brand I really like (Costco carries some of their stuff). They came out with some new jackets this year.

The ultralight Down fill packable puffy looks like a good deal at $40 with current sale:

Have not bought this particular jacket myself, but I own alot of other clothes from them and have always been happy with the quality.

I picked up the vest version and it’s actually got a good amount of fill. A little heavy for the ounce counters at 10oz but still a great buy.

I'm all about blue collar shopping for gear.

For cleaning optics I bought a small soft makeup brush for a few bucks and a little bottle of spray lens cleaner with a microfiber cloth at an office supply store. It works well and alot cheaper than the big name branded stuff.

When skinning critters at home I like to use a Victorinox paring knife. I think I got several for $6 each. They sharpen easily and work well on furbearers.

I got a Condor knife & tool mini parang with a 10" blade. That thing is handy, and stout enough to use in place of an axe for clearing brush and chopping small/med trees.

I love these. I use it when sleeping at night in my sleeping bag on a cold night. Keeps my face and my head warm all night. Also use it when hunting in cold weather, & hunting in a pop up tent. Keep an eye out and you can find them on sale. Got all my boys one. My youngest wore it to work last year and now I have a lot of the guys on our field crews that all use them daily when the weather is cold. You can push the front facial cover up and wear it without the face covered.
