In the process of having a semi custom 7saum built right now, and I’m stumped on what color to cerakote the barrel and action. I’ll be running a McMillan game warden in FDE transition camo (pictured below) with a vortex razor. I want to see some colors y’all did so I can get an idea, or give me your input on what you think would look good, thanks!!

There are many options to choose from. Some are tougher to match Mcmillan colors than others.
If going brown/tan I’d use Mcmillan tan or Magpul FDE.
If going black I like Graphite black. Armor black is pretty flat in color.

I was thinking about a more dark tan or dark brown but the vortex razors color really just throws everything off haha so I don’t know. If all else fails I’ll just go black

That seems cool, any pictures of it?
Anyone run a matte dark brown?

I had a 6.5 build a while back that Accurate Ordnance did in their "spider monkey green", but I'm guessing its a home brew color. Looks good with several shades of brown and green though. IMG_0935.JPGphoto.JPG

An easy and safe color would be to pick one of the colors on your camo stock and use it on your barrel/action. That’s what my gunsmith says he has seen done quite a bit.
My picks are
Midnight blue if you want to match a stock look
Bronze adds a lot of style
Sig dark grey if you dont mind the greenish hue, but it should work on a camo stock.

Wait is the barrel desert sand mixed with fde?

I asked for Desert Sand and when I got the rifle from Cooper thats what the label said, Desert Sand/FDE. FDE is such an ambiguous color though, there are all sorts of shades called FDE.
