My game warden won't be here for a few more months. Tossing a #6 Lilja stainless 1-8" twist barrel on the wsm action but don't want the stainless finish so I'm going black. But my stock is 50%black 25% olive and 25% med gray marble. Looks like 80s-90s camo.

Post some pics when she's done. I'll do the same.

The old ball and chain just texted me and said my game warden just showed up now!! I’ll post a pic of the stock here in a few. Sounds awesome man! Gotta love that throwback look. I went a #6 x cal 1-8” on my wsm action, gonna run some 180s. Yeah I don’t like the stainless look either.

I like the looks of that stock. I think that black or that sniper grey would look good in it.

Also, good choice on the cartridge. I love my 7 SAUM.

Thank you, I think it turned out pretty good! And yeah I might go black, just hard to pick with the razors weird ass color. Do you? What bullets do you run?

My SAUM is a Remington Model Seven SS with a 22" barrel, so it's a hunting rifle only. I shoot 160 grain Partitions and Accubonds in it at around 2950 fps.

I'm gonna run 170 elite hunters but I've got .270wsm not 7m. Hoping I can find copper in a similar length as the 170eh's because california is garbage and ban lead. Otherwise Im likely to buy another factory ammo gun just for hunting ca.

I don't really know, but I will say this, it took me about 6 hours to do my barrel, brake receiver, bolt, end of firing pin assembly, pic rail, scope rings, and various bolts. I'm sure someone that has done it a lot could do it in half that time, but its a ton of work.

I paid $180 for barrel/action, 20 moa rail and bolt/bolt handle from a local guy in Wa. Most places I shopped around for would have been $250+ but the guy that did mine does it as a side gig out of his garage.

Mine is in post #6 of this thread. I have a buddy that had a couple pistols done with the same guy and al the work is top notch.
