Central Oregon Newbie

Tired of just lurking around and not participating in the discussions or missing out on sexy classified deals so I figured it’s time to dive in!
Little bit about me.
Im a 32 year old male and I enjoy long walks in the woods and writing poetic gear lists for upcoming hunts. I’ve only been hunting for 4 years now but it’s consumed an incredible about of time and money within those years. Backpack Archery Elk is my baby, but I’ve taken a few muleys with a rifle as well.
I live in Bend Oregon and usually hunt semi-close to bend, but I have hunted 43 in Idaho successfully and im flying into Frank Church (27) this November with a close friend.

Excited to get to know everyone. Hopefully I’ll have some tips and ideas worth sharing that can help out as well.

Nice. I’ve had some friends do well in that unit. I’ll be just east in the Silvies for elk this year. Not much deer where I elk hunt so I usually go do late cascade black tail. Good luck!

Welcome from another newbie in Bend!

This is actually my first post.

I've been lurking for a while as well and finally made the dive. I've only hunted two seasons (Western general) in Oregon and drew upper deschutes rifle this year. Excited to get to hunt closer to home!

Ever hunted this unit before, Craigr? Any tips?
