I saw a post from u about the winchester ballistic tips. Ive searched over n over for 5 yrs and found out their discontinued. However i found a place inThe reason I didn't notice I only had 6 rounds is because I had two boxes in my ammo cabinet, but for some dumb reason I put a box of empties in there last time I shot it (last sight-in season). I didn't touch the rifle again, because I used a different gun last year. I would use it this year, but my wife drew a tag for a hunt in a completely different zone at the same exact time as my elk hunt. So now I do not have that rifle available to me this year (first time this has been a problem)!
I have absolutely zero interest in reloading–I don't have the space, time or inclination. Two kids (8 and 6), one of which is battling Leukemia for the second time, homeschooling, working from home... all that makes it hard to pick up a new, expensive hobby.
In retrospect, I wish I would have just bought my rifle in regular ol' .300 win mag. Definitely more ammo availability there. I was thinking of giving the Browning BXC 185 grain a try... anyone have any experience with this ammo? I have been able to pretty reliably find that stuff in my local stores. Honestly, that is why I am a bit hesitant... why aren't people buying it?
