Would you say the the outer fabric of the Pamir Insulation jacket is durable? Is it a 30 D fabric? I'm looking for a durable insulation layer.
Yes Sir! The Pamir is constructed with Cordura lightweight ripstop fabric. Cordura fabric is known for its toughness and durability and superior strength-to-weight ratio over most fabrics on the market. I have personally hunted with this jacket in Africa, Alaska, Kamchatka and far West Texas with no issues whatsoever.

Well, I'd love to try it. I'm waiting for my Kuiu Kenai to die before I do.

On another note I'd like to shamelessly take credit for telling Canis to get on Rokslide because it's such a great platform/forum for exposure. It'd be great to see this gear to get reviewed by some of the guys on here.

Awesome thanks for that! Reviews are in the pipeline. If you would like to see some of our own reviews check them out on our IGTV or Youtube channel.

The top brands in the market in technical hunting, mountaineering and ski are all made in Asia. That's a fact. Asia is the best manufacturer in the world right now for technical garments. They have the best technology and the most skilled workers. We would be sacrificing quality if we didn't produce in Asia.

Interesting camo pattern ... do I think it would work in the north eastern part of NC for tree stand hunting or more of a ground hunting pattern

I'd love to see real world reviews on this jacket.

Also, do you have the option for gift cards? Sometimes I get gift cards for helping people out and I have the chance to request where they come from.

I’m a brand new hunter and buying gear is very intimidating to say the least. So many choices. I decided on Canis because I like helping new companies succeed when I feel they have a solid product. I got my Altai jacket and Alpine light pants today. The quality reminds me of my north face goretex gear that cost triple what this did. It fits perfect, and looks awesome. Also is super comfy and really stretchy. I can’t say a thing about long term longevity but I’ll report back and keep a log of how this gear holds up. I’m know to destroy shit so we will see. Trust their sizing guide. It’s dead on.

At risk of reviving an old thread, I just purchased some Canis items after having trouble finding clothes that actually fit in other brands. The Canis sizing for shirts is completely different than other brands (technical and non-technical). I am 6'4" and around 190-195. I bought the Tahr merino half-zip in large, and it was too tight and too short. I exchanged for an XL, and it fits very well. The sizing chart is pretty good; definitely look at the sizing chart before ordering rather than relying on your regular size. For reference, in Sitka, I usually wear a medium tall, although some of the items are too small in that size; large is too short, and large tall often fits like a gown. I have tried First Lite, but the medium is too short and the large is too short and too wide. My best fitting clothes are medium tall from Banana Republic, Old Navy, and Lanky Llama.

The Tahr merino half-zip is very soft and feels similar to First Lite's wick material. I compared them side by side, and I am not sure I would be able to tell the difference with my eyes closed. Same with the Tahr neck gaiter. I do like the zipper on this better than the First Lite wick quarter-zip, and I like the collar. The cordura accents on the shoulders are a nice touch, but I have never had the issues this is designed to prevent with the pack rubbing on my shirt/shoulders. This feels much better than the Sitka polygiene baselayer I am used to wearing (and fits better, but that is subjective), but it will definitely be hotter -- not always a good thing here in Texas.

The chamois fleece liner glove is comfortable, and I like the grip texturing a lot. I hope that the texturing holds up. The mesh back hat is a standard trucker hat; nothing special, but nothing wrong.

I will probably buy a midlayer hoody once they come back in stock.
