CA Refugee / ID FNG on all fronts

Hello,

I am a recent California refugee who sought freedom in Idaho. Grew up fishing and camping but have zero hunting experience. Really want to get into Elk and Upland hunting.

I’m dying to get out and explore/hunt the state. If you don’t mind me asking, what unit were you in that you saw a lot of grouse?

My advice is to make sure you trade your California plates in for Idaho plates as soon as possible. A cheesy Idahome or Idaho- No Vacancy bumper sticker might be worth a look as well. When someone asks you where you are from, I would lie or practice telling the truth without looking down at the floor like a dog that pooped all over the rug when their master gets home.
