Just wanted to quickly introduce myself to the group. Born and raised in East Texas. Moved to Northern California about 25 years ago for work. I spent a lot of time in a deer stand in the Piney woods of East Texas when i was young. I enjoyed it but I wasn’t ever passionate about hunting out of a stand. I was introduced to Elk hunting about 15 years ago and I found my passion. I love chasing Elk whether in Eastern Oregon, Idaho, Montana, or Wyoming. Still plenty of other places I want to hunt elk but haven’t yet had the opportunity. I enjoy reading all of the discussions on this site. Y’all are very helpful with your insight and experience. I hope I can eventually have enough experience and knowledge to contribute!
