As delivered from CA. 300 WM Mesa Ti. I’m goin to mount a VX-6HD 3-18x50 with Talley rings an see how it shoots. The plan is to run the 190gr Barnes LRX. So far so good...

Well I have about 40 rounds through the gun. Started out with some cheap ammo to get close then dialed it in with the 190gr Barnes LRX. This thing flat out shoots. I was able to get a three shot all touching at 200. I took it out to 500 and shot a 1/2 MOA 3 shot group. Overall weight is comin in at just about 7 1/2 pounds. Recoil with the brake on is very minimal even with a 190gr bullet. I cleaned it after every 3 shots and noticed for some reason my first shot after cleaning was always to the left. It seemed to shoot better a little dirty.

I waited 13 weeks for my gun to ship with no notification of shipment. My FFL told me it arrived and I checked my card to see I was charged. I had a couple issues with customer service or lack there of. somehow after I got home from shooting, the muzzle brake had completely unthreaded an was loose in the case. The bolt seems a little sticky but I’m anticipating it’ll smoothen out as I break in the gun more.

I couldn’t be more pleased with how the gun shoots. I’ll forget the customer service problems since it’s over an done and focus on the fact I have a very good shooting rifle. Now the wait for hunting season...

I got a "heavy" 41 oz stock in my standard mesa. My 6.5 PRC came in at 7.8 lb, makes me really nervous about getting anything else from CA.

Any more updates on the CA Mesa Ti? I am really wanting the 300 WM but I am nervous about receiving one way over weight like my 6.5 PRC.

I'd be disgusted and wanting a refund for a titanium gun that weighed anything over 5.8 or so....why even bother with Ti if you're toting a 7-8lb rifle?
Respectfully, that's nuts.
If I were a rightly I'd be toting a Kimber Mountain Ascent with Luke Moffat's weigh savings regiment. 3lb+ bare rifle, 4.4-6 or so with a lightweight SWFA.

Hell my wife's Montana .308 is 4.14 pre scope....

4lbs 14oz is not 4.14lbs

I'm well aware of that, my wife's Kimber isn't four pounds one ounce. I didn't feel like typing out four pounds fourteen point four ounces... grin. The scale shows figures as well...

Either way these weights are light years (pun intended) from some of these quoted CA Ti's at seven pounds plus....

Well I decided to get the Mesa Ti 300 WM against my own experience and against the advice of this post...and sure enough it was delivered at 7 lb 4.5 oz with a 39 oz stock.

Before I made the purchase I called Christensen directly and the guy told me to expect 6 lb 12 to 14 oz which I was okay with, so I made the purchase...going to give them a call on Monday. I do appreciate the the barreled action / trigger is 8 to 9 oz lighter than my 6.5 PRC.

Just their dang stocks are way to heavy.

Bumping this back up to see if there is any feedback after the season and to see if the weights are still all over the place

My Mesa Ti 300 WM shoots lights out (3” groups at 600 yards) and was used to harvest two elk this year (bull and cow). Honestly with my gun at 9 lb all in made it extremely pleasant to shoot (less recoil than my 7.5 lb 308).

I did recently purchase a new Mesa Precision Altitude stock which should drop ~11 oz off the weight. I am torn on whether I will install it or sell it. With the gun bearer 9 lb was not bad to hall around for 8-10 miles a day.
